US Strikes Cut Phone, Water And Power To Southern Iran
Hormozgan's chief of communications counted 116 towers down in Bandar Abbas and Hajiabad, the campaign's seventh straight day.
- Bonji's desalination pumps and power lines were hit, cutting drinking water to villages in the south.
- Iran's consumer prices rose 88.6% year on year in June, with a 5.4% GDP contraction forecast.
- Egg prices in Tehran jumped 40% to $3.30 a tray in early July alone.
Why it matters: Destroying phone towers and desalination pumps together aims at the civilians who cannot fight back.
