UAE Wins Unrestricted US AI Chip Access For Iran War Role
The July 10 order moved the UAE from Commerce's restricted D:3 and D:4 lists into the trusted A:5 tier outright.

- The reclassification lifts license rules on UAE drone support, oil, gas and nuclear dual-use exports.
- AI chips and servers now flow under the US-UAE AI Cooperation framework signed in May 2025.
Why it matters: Export controls are not neutral law, they are payment, and the UAE was just paid in chip access.
