Iran State TV Presenter Congratulates Senator Lindsey Graham's Death
Hamshahri Online published the clip on July 12, 2026, 21 Tir 1405 on Iran's calendar, from a female IRIB anchor.
- The presenter called Graham a "warmonger American senator" while announcing his death live.
- She offered on-air congratulations for his death rather than reporting it as news.
- Mehr News, a separate Iranian state outlet, independently reported the same broadcaster's reaction that day.
Why it matters: A state broadcaster has no opinions of its own; it airs the government's, uncorrected, to the whole country.
