Rabbi Peter Schaktman, 66, One Of Eight Charged In NY Child Sex Sting
State Police's ICAC Task Force picked up seven other men across Onondaga County in the same August 27-28 sweep.
- Peter Schaktman, 66, of New Hartford, was arrested August 27 alongside four other men.
- Marvin Knapp, 44, William Whitfield, 41, and Kevin Lapoint, 65, were arrested August 28.
- All eight face Attempted Rape in the Second Degree, a Class E felony, State Police said.
Why it matters: Age and title bought none of the eight any distance from the same felony charge.
